Novakkkkkkkkkkkkk's arm and OLD guys Bats lead the Cudas (18 Division)

The Cudas new players lead the way in a 9-0 6 inning win Thursday Night at Rensselaer Field.

The Cudas would start things off in the top of the first taking a 3-0 lead on a Brian Hoffman and Quentin Jensen single and some sloppy play by the Mets. Eric Wigand would start off the 2nd with a single and SB followed by a Mickey Novak double and an RBI single by Carlos Maldanado making it 5-0. The Cudas would add 2 more in the 5th on a HR by 2010 25's MVP Quentin Jensen and they would follow up in the 6th with 2 more runs after a Joey Coleman single, a Mickey Novak single (3-3 on the night) a walk to Sean Kelly, an RBI single by Brandt Kronholm and an RBI sac by Carlos Maldanado.

The Cudas sent former Canes Cy Young and MVP Winner Nate Novak to the mound to get things rolling and that's what he did. He had a no hitter through 3 with 6 K's. Joe Slater would end it with a hard single. Nate would then K the side right after and K the side again in the 5th in between a Brian Jette Single. He would add one more in the 6th to finish with 13 K's in 6 innings allowing 2 hits, 3 BB, CG no runs.

The Cudas begin the year 1-0 and the Mets finally lose and move to 3-1 on the year.

Congrats to Mickey for going 3 for 3 in his debut in the 18 division. Mickey is getting the chance to player with his younger brother.

Keep up the good work!
