Nolan Propane Cardinals Remain Strong

The Nolan Propane Cardinals remain strong as Rick Loffredo pitched a no hitter and the rest of the team ran all over the bases. Everyone got hits. Special mention about Read Shepherd who hit a two run double and another double, and Harold Jenkins who smashed a triple.

The game was shortened by the gracious surrender of the always-dignified Cougars as the score hit 20 to zip in the fourth.
Final score: Nolan Propane Cardinals, 20-Cougars, 0

The Cardinals would to thank John Kalinski for the rush on our beautiful jerseys! We ordered jerseys from another company. They were promised in two weeks but arrived in six. The logo was youth sized and heat pressed-certainly not what we ordered. We sent them back and John came to the rescue. Bravo John!

And sweet-singin' Susan Phillips smacked two solid, clean singles, as the NPC rolled over a Gray Cougars skeleton squad that was decimated by absences and injuries (e.g., first-baseman couldn't run with a jammed ankle; center-fielder couldn't throw with a shredded rear deltoid; shortstop on the sidelines with a split finger; right-fielder hadn't played in 50 years; no one remembered to bring live goat for pre-game ritual sacrifice).

Congratulations to Susie and the mighty Nolan Propane Cardinals.
