54+ Damn Yankees 10 - Americans 9 in 9 innings

Tuesday the 14th on a great New Scotland evening saw a closely contested match throughout with Artie G and Ed Rogers starting for the Yanks and Americans. Yanks went right out in the 1st with 5 runs, but the Americans answered with 5 of their own. The Yanks managed a run in the 2nd and 3 in the 3rd, but the Americans battled back with 3 in their 3rd making it 9-8. Mike Hart relieved Artie G in the 4th with Rogers continuing for the Americans. After the Americans produced a run in the 4th knotting the score at 9-9, the two teams and their pitchers performed well, but scoreless in the 5th thru the 8th. As darkness was closing in, the Yanks manufactured a run by Tim Brown in the top of the 9th with the Americans unable to answer. Game over with outstanding pitching from Mike Hart and Eddie Rogers.

Tim Brown and Rob Shellhouse for the Yanks and Jim Wing and Joe Romero for the Americans had two hits in the game.
