Bobby Yakatan hit a two run homer and an RBI single, lending to Nolan Propane Cardinals victory over the Platinum Marlins, with a score of 13 to 3.

Jerry Hawkins, Skippy Lyons and Bobby Yakatan each had two hits. Rodney Dunbar, Harold Jenkins, Jimmy LaTorre, Dave Plew, and Jerry Soloman also had hits. Jimmy LaTorre knocked in three runs and Harold Jenkins had two RBIs

The sterling pitching of starter Jimmy LaTorre and speedy closer Jerry Solomon, along with the Cardinal's mighty defense behind them, held the Marlins to just five hits with three runs scored.

Chuck Stanley, Wayne Newcomb, Bill Pelton, Donnie Wixon, and Phil Gadomski had hits for the Platinum Marlins.

The Division-leading Cardinals next meet up with the Whiz Kids on Friday night, New Scotland, at 6pm.
