Our Sincere Condolenses

I would ask all of you to join me in passing on condolences too John Reel,
who's mother passed today.

Some of us where lucky enough to have meet Mrs.Reel.
I will always remember the Maine tournament .
It was 95, and unbearable humidity, but at 90 years old she made every game.
At our victory party she was still going strong at 2am.

My wife and sons were amazed by her spirit all weekend .
I can only imagine the joy of having been raised by this wonderful woman.

My families thoughts and prayers are with you John.

Without having met her, John, one can tell by knowing you of the goodness she has done on this Earth.

I know she has left a legacy of kindness and human spirit for all to follow.
May she always be your guiding light.

My prayers are with you and your family at this trying time.
God bless.

thank you all for the support and prayers. It means a lot to my family and myself. here's is the obit for those interested:

REEL
Margaret Reel

Margaret Reel passed away August 12 at home, with her loving family at hand. At 98 years old, she was the last of 8 siblings of mother Josephine Stack Woods and John Francis Woods. She was the grand-daughter of Irish immigrants born to hard work, hope, honor, and reverence to God. Margaret was born on the farm in Woodstock, IL on June 25, 1913, and graduated from Xavier High School in Ottawa, IL. She then began a fulfilling professional life in Chicago as an executive secretary. After WWII, she met Louis Reel , from the U.S. Army Fort Sheridan medical hospital on a New Year's Eve blind date; they married, had 3 sons, and traveled on military assignments. They retired together in San Antonio. She was a sweet and devoted wife and mother. Widowed in 1981, she began another stage of life, indulging her sense of discovery, adventure, and independence. All the while, she attended to her matriarchal role in the Reel clan, which included her sons Richard, Tom and John, grandchildren Virginia, Marley, Julianna and Melanie, and daughters-in-law Denise and Diane. She was also blessed to have recently held her great-grandson Judah. Margaret had a lifelong love for animals, and took in many that would have otherwise perished. She adopted healthful living, including good nutrition and daily exercise (she led the Eden Heights Apartments exercise class into her 90's). These complimented her positive attitude and innate ability to "get going" even when times were tough. This resolve, her child-like joy of life, the love of her family, and attentiveness to her friends are her legacy. May these qualities live on in all who knew and
cherished her. In lieu of flowers, Margaret would like you to look up a friend or relative in need and share a meal, a letter, or a walk together; or
make a donation to the charity of your choice. Memorial services will be held at the Eden Hill Chapel in New Braunfels at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011.
