Albany Braves 7 -- Enola, PA Yanks 4

Finally a game to put in the win column.
With the playoffs still a real possibility, the Braves took their best shot in the second game of a doubleheader. what the Braves had to do was win the last two and limit their opponents runs as the big tie breaker is Runs Against. Ralph Caputo took the hill with the pressure on and did a great job. He gave up a pair of runs in six innings. The key hits came from lots of Braves in this one, but the key was to limit the Yanks runs. With the eventual goal being a good run through the playoffs, the first relief task was given to Kevin Jackson, and he pitched a scoreless 7th, using pinpoint control. He lost that control in the 8th as he walked the first two and gave up a single. Now, enter Tom Maney with incredible pressure. If he gets knocked around or walks anybody the playoff hopes go down the dumper. He got us out of the jam by getting a grounder that scored one and gave up a suicide squeeze that scored another, but struck out the final batter to end the threat. Tom took us through the ninth with little drama and the Braves were back in the hunt.
