An expansion team in the 45+ Division is proposed to accommodate players looking for playing time and good fun on Sundays. The league understands the team may not be competitive with the best 45+ clubs, so the schedule will likely be adjusted. We have until the league meeting in December to get a roster and deposit together, which is not a lot of time. The first 10 players to submit $40 checks made out to CDMSBL go to the roster.

As demonstrated above, gray and grey have been used interchangeably in our culture without distinction, both characterizing color. In England, grey is preferred. In the case of the Homestead baseball team, there is only one spelling. Grays. And it is an awesome team name intended to recognize a meaningful issue in the history of the game.

Kudos to all the Albany ball players who have distinguished local baseball this fall, especially to the newest Gray and CDMSBL Man of the Year. It was an honor to be in Phoenix for the presentation of the award.
