Game 4 wasnt supposed to be a contest playing a triple A team that has impressed many managers including the tournament director warning us that it would be a tough game. And if I mentioned that I pitched 3 innings giving up zero earned runs and Don Ball doing a fine job pitching 5 innings with only 1 earned run and we scored 9 runs , you would think the game was a big W. But we had many problems in the field giving up 13 unearned runs for a loss of 14-9. We had Johnny Weber, Pat Alston and Mike Cleary getting 2 hits a piece and Johnny Cortese waking up and going 3 for 4. We know to continue on we will need to tighten the defense but we also can see that we can out hit many of these teams. Tomorrow we are playing a team from Toledo in the Minnesota Twin Spring training stadium! Looking for another beautiful day in the 80s and playing baseball.
