Albany Capitals game 5

I found out that in a Roy Hobbs tournament the 5th game you play a team with identical record and then get seeded for the single elimination playoffs. So today we played the Toledo, Ohio Outlaws. Since we already have a win and qualified for the playoffs, this game would only help our seeding potential, I didnt want to exhaust any pitchers and if we got the win our seed would improve. We started with Jimmy Tesoriero on the bump who controlled his 3 innings throwing 50 pitches striking out 1 and giving up 1 run. Next John Weber pitched his 3 innings in 39 pitches, striking out one and giving up one run. And last our Jimmy Preller pitches his 3 innings in 60 pitches, striking out one and also giving up 1 run. Our hitting is still on fire with Tim Burns, Steve Schaefer and John Cortese have multiple hits with Jim Bradley hitting it the fence again with a stand up double. Albany Capitals 10 Toledo Outlaws 3! Tomorrow we get a day of rest and at the Roy Hobbs Players Party we will find out our seed for the Friday morning game. I feel that all my pitchers will be fresh and ready and even though this marathon week takes its toll on our bodies, the team is still hungry for another win.

Sounds like you're set up for success! It's just baseball. Play focused and confident. Good luck, boys!
