Thye CDMSBL Board of Directors met for the first time this year at 76 Diner in Latham on 1/4/2020 at 9am. The first order of business was to elect Officers for this season. The three Officers from the previous year were still interested in continuing in their capacities and no one else showed interest in the positions so they were re-elected unanimously. The Officers for this year remain John Reel, President. Don Wixon, Treasurer and Bob Noto, Secretary. After welcoming the new members to the BOD, John Reel reviewed how the Commissioners developed and presented their season plans to the Board. He then asked what specific concern each Board member had for the coming year. After going around the table and each Board member raising his concerns, sub - committees were established as follows : Website Committee, Managing Editor John Reel and members Bob Noto, Don Wixon and Lex Herrlett. This committee will be concerned with the information uploaded to the website as well as the content such as stories, profiles and league news. Golf Tournament Committee - The Chairman for this Committee will again be Lex Herrlett assisted by Pat Alston, JJ Janetsky and Chris Abrams. This committee will develop and organize the golf outing to benefit the Board Designated Fund which is no longer supported by the defunct Labor Day Tournament. GM Communications Committee - John Reel Chairman, and members John Kalinski, Lex Herrlett and Don Wixon. This committee is concerned with devising an advisory sheet for new GM's on how and when league fees are to be collected. Fee/Schedules Committee - Will Coons Chairman, John Reel and Don Wixon. This committee will focus on the fees for each Division as well as scheduling for the Divisions. Rules Committee - Jim Konstantakis, Chairman, Pat Alston and the Division Commissioners. This Committee will be reviewing the current League rules and recommend revisions where needed Special Events Committee - Jim Konatantakis, Chairman, Lex Herrrlett will be working on the leagues special events including fund raisers for the league and divisions. The next meeting of the Board of Directors is TBD due to everyone's availability. The meeting was adjourned at 12:05 pm. Any questions or concerns can be directed to me or any Board member. Bob Noto, League Secretary.
Suggestion for the Rules and Website Committees: Once the rules have been reviewed and revised (if needed), can the official playing rules of each division be posted on the respective division web pages so all players are clear about the rules that are different for each division? Issues like courtesy runners, waivers for certain ages, etc. are not consistent through all divisions and it would be helpful to have them in black and white on the league website. Thanks.

Dan - they're already on the main cdmsbl.com home page. Look in the box on the right under headlines and you will see Rules 2018 listed and that links to the rules. It's a fun read when you're bored
The other thing to keep in mind is the rules in the scorebooks are not ours and occasionally I've seen other managers cite those rules which don't apply.
Just want to give a big thanks to the fellas who stepped up, and continue to step up, to guide this league . We are all real lucky to be able to just show up and play, not worrying about anything but our own personal problems. It would be great if we could have some fellas from the younger divisions on these committees ,Im sure the older guys who have been shouldering the responsibilities of running things for years would be appreciative of your involvement.
Anyway, thanks again to all of you who make the effort.
