Capital Division 2020

The plan for the 2020 Capital Division has been approved by the league board.

The Capital Division is dedicated to older players who want to enjoy playing the game. Playing time is shared equally. The object is fun and recreation.

The Capital Division will expand to have games on weeknights along with weekend games. Although the Capital Division will not play games against teams from other divisions, our schedule will be coordinated with other division schedules. The weekend games will be scheduled on Sundays, and will accommodate the 45+ schedule. The weeknight games will accommodate the 55 Division schedule. We will try to have a consistent weeknight, perhaps a consistent field. Players are unlikely to have to choose between games and leagues. This is our shared priority. The league commissioners are involved in making the schedule and supportive of this arrangement.

New players are welcome!

If you wish to be on the first contact list for games, send $30 to Jim Ansel at PO Box 79, New Lebanon, NY 12125. First come first serve. Also, update your email contact information as you prefer. Baseball Forever.

Jim - Just curious as to why you are switching the weekend games to Sundays.

As of the first week of March, the Capital Division already has 25 paid players. Lots of fun baseball ahead. New players welcome!

The Capital Division is on course to double our playing opportunities this season. 31 paid as of 3/15. Let me know if you want to be added to our email list. Baseball!
