Long-time CDMSBLer Read Shepherd, who was a fixture on WGY as a news anchor, has taken the same position at WFLA in Tampa, Fla.

Read was a great teammate and a fierce competitor, but more importantly a well-respected journalist known for his fair and balanced reporting.

Great guy who will be missed.

23 The READ is my Sheperd; I shall not fret.

2 He helpeth me to play ball in green pastures; he leadeth off, or sometimes bats sixth.

3 He restoreth my team; he leadeth us all in walks and will get plunked for the team's sake.
