Board of Directors Meeting 4/24/2020

CDMSBL BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
FRIDAY April 24, 2020
VIA TEXT

Members present: John Reel, John Kalinski, Don Wixon, Chris Abrams, Lex Herrlett, Will Coons, JJ Janetski, Pat Alston, Bob Noto, Jim Konstantakis.

Meeting opened at 8:08
There were two motions mentioned for a vote in the afternoon information discussion. The first motion involves fee schedule and starting dates. Motion by John Reel and seconded by Don Wixon that each division will set their own starting date. If budgets need to be recalculated then the BOD will need to approve. The resultant team fee will then be due as follows: Fifteen (15) days before the start date, 50% of the team fee will be due. After one (1) month past the start date the balance is due. No late fees but if the amount prescribed is not paid by the start date and one (1) month date, no games will be played by that team.
In favor: Chris Abrams, John Reel, John Kalinski, Pat Alston, Will Coons, Don Wixon, Jim Konsatantakis,, Bob Noto, JJ Janetski. Abstain: Lex Herrlett. Approved.
The second motion by John Reel involves refunds and seconded by Don Wixon. We will refund all moneys paid to this point if teams opt out less any un-recoupable items all ready expended. We will not include the use of stipends in these refunds. The burden of those will be re-spread on each remaining team in the Division, recalculating that burden by the formula the Treasurer has used to assign cost in the past. Stipends all ready used towards a team fee will not be refunded.
Voting in favor: John Reel, Will Coons, Don Wixon,Chris Abrams, Pat Alston, Lex Herrlett, John Kalinski, Bob Noto. No: JJ Janetski. No response: Jim Konstatakis.
4. Motion to adjourn by John Reel, seconded by John Kalinski. Approved. Meeting adjourned 8:45 pm.

The summary here reports that each division will set its own starting date. Is that division determination of a starting date now totally independent of the overall cdmsbl position on start dates, fields, umpires, and player safety? Is a division to assume that it has the support of the overall cdmsbl? Please clarify. Thank you.

Jim it means that once the CDMSBL gets the ok to begin from the Governor, that all parks can reopen the the Commissioners can plan the start date and schedules for BOD approval.
