Angels/Peppers

These two teams got together and delivered a very entertaining game under the sunny skies @ New Scotland. In a match-up that featured an abundance of hitting, and an abandonment of defense, the Angels picked up a hard fought 10-8 victory,to improve their record to 2 - 1 on the season.

John Reel set the tone early with a booming triple in the first inning, that's not a misprint...a triple!! Bobby Bolt shut the door with 2 innings in relief of Angels starter "Mash" Gadomski, who tweaked a hammy while delivering a "fastball" in the 5th.

The Angels will welcome the Twins to the friendly confines on Swift Road next Monday, which should be another very competitive game.

Crazy Legs Reel hit a triple ? I would love to see the video. I havent hit a triple in 50 years. That was against Roe Jan High School in May of 1970 on a just mowed field with no fence in Hillsdale, NY. Booming gapper to right center . The pitcher was Gary Brabender. On the previous pitch I missed the suicide squeeze sign from my coach and he was pissed off to put it mildly. Our soon to be signed by the Houston Astros short stop, Johnny Cook, was on third, but he got back to the bag in time. Funny what you remember.
