The Dodgers spent the first four innings at the A Diamond fishing for Teddy Martin curve balls, striking out, grounding out and flailing our way to a 1 - 1 tie against a seasoned Angels squad. The boys in blue finally strung some hits together in the bottom of the 5th to take a six-run lead. We were hoping that the long inning in the heat would put the Angels away. Didn't happen. A lead-off walk, a single and an error loaded the bases with halos. Then a sinking "line drive" got in front of, under and past our "diving" right fielder and it was a ball game. Fortunately, Ray Coletta came on in relief and shut down the rally. The Dodgers added an insurance run in the 6th to escape with a much needed 8 - 5 win.
Always fun to share the field with half of the CDMSBL hall of fame members!

Hey Don; What a great time we had at the ballpark, you guys are such a class act. Never like losing, but it was such a special night. Having Teddy Martin back on the Field was a thrill for all the Angel brothers. Love your team, and talent.
