Shuttleworth Field, Amsterdam (FYI - NO METAL CLEATS)

Passing along some information.....For those who have never been to or played at Shuttleworth Field in Amsterdam, the field is turf (infield) and grass (outfield). Metal cleats are NOT permitted. For one of my 55+ games, we did not know this when we arrived. Luckily we all had alternative options (molded cleats or turf shoes)

Also, if you have evening games, I recommend putting the lights on upon arrival as it gets dark quickly. The light switches are located in the building behind the right field fence. I was told that to turn lights on, all switches should face inwards. Hopefully/maybe a field representative will be on premise to help if you have trouble, good luck.

Shuttleworth is a good field and I enjoyed playing there. It is a bit of a drive, but having lights allows for games to start later which sometimes is very helpful on weeknights. The field has been upgraded with more improvements coming .

Keep both Spikes and turfs in your baseball bag or car and you'll always be prepared.
