According to wire reports, John Weber went 5 solid innings, with Ronnie Massaroni dealing the final four frames. Gene Hallenbeck laced a two-run double in the 7th to break a 4 -4 tie. Minnesota threatened with the tying runs on base in the eighth and ninth, but, of course, Mazz slammed the door.
