Bob Bolt of the WhizKids faced off against Jim Tesereiro of the Dodgers at the A Diamond on Thursday night. The Dodgers scored in the top of the second on a single by Pat Alston, and a double to deep center by Jim Bradley. Bolt retired the next three batters without the ball leaving the infield. The WhizKids tied it up in the bottom of the third when Greg Mangione led off with a double, and scored on a one-out double by Bob Holmes. The WhizKids took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 5th. Jan Friedman led off with a walk, was sacrificed to second by Holmes, and scored on a double by Dave Sirani. They gave Bolt some insurance runs in the bottom of the 6th. Mangione was hit by a pitch to force in a run, then Holmes knocked in two more with a single to end the scoring.
