Just read in a team note that current over-62 Pirates teammate (and former Peppers teammate) Artie Gianakos is scheduled to have surgery on one shoulder in 10 days
and possibly a second one on the other shoulder next May.

Artie has been a longtime fixture in the league, noted for being a good pitcher and good hitter. His playing days in CDMSBL stretch back to the early '90s or perhaps late '80s.

Here's hoping his surgery, or surgeries, go well and that he bounces back in quick order.
