Dodgers Outhit the Americans

The Dodgers scored in 5 of their 6 at-bats and withstood a late rally to better the Americans at the B Diamond.

Twelve Dodgers joined the hit parade; including Mike Kocienski in his final at-bat in the CDMSBL. Two knee replacements and an upcoming shoulder surgery have ended Mike's action between the baselines. It was nice to see him rip a line-drive single in his final plate appearance. Marc Trinchillo and Dennis Lane went 3 for 3 and Pat Alston, Steve Schaefer and John Cotese had two hits apiece.

Props to the Americans for playing 7 solid innings including plating three runs in the 7th. A quirk in the 55+ division schedule had the Americans playing on back-to-back nights. Several of their players also played in a 62+ division game on Monday. With only nine players at the B Diamond, the Americans gave 100% until the final out.
