CDMSBL wants the Capital Division to succeed and is going to offer support this coming season. The league is willing to give us a field and protected time (not competing with 45s, 55s or 62s), but we need to organize and share responsibility. The league will help us secure fields, dates, and umpires. Our challenge is to get players signed up and committed for games dedicated to fun, parity, and playing time for all.
Your commitment includes paying fees up front so the division and/or the league is not left with complicated expenses due to cancellations. The commitment also means players will either make games or provide a replacement, not leave some unfortunate coordinator trying to fill out the roster at the last minute.
Our first step is to survey our potential players to determine playing time preferences and availability - weeknights, Saturday pm, and/or Sunday (likely evening). If we get enough interest, GAMES ON!

Capital Division baseball is making progress as follows: 1. 23 players have committed to CD this season. 2. We have relaxed the requirement for players to find substitutes if they miss games, but we are still looking at options to guarantee attendance and eliminate chaos around games. 3. We keep options as to days and times of games. We will survey our committed players as we progress toward criteria for league support. 4. We need 30 committed players before the league will consider supporting CD this season with umpires, fields, dates and times that will not conflict with other divisions within the overall CDMSBL.
Capital Division is progressing with 24 committed players, but we need more regulars. We are set for weekly Wednesday evening games, likely at New Scotland. These games will NOT conflict with other CDMSBL games. Fee for the season is proposed at $200 with no fees per game and a plan for 25 + games. Contact anseljamesc@gmail.com

The league is offering necessary and much appreciated help, and we must adapt to what the league can do for the Capital Division for 2023. We are coming to hard stops and decision points, including whether or not there will be a 2023 Capital Division.
CDMSBL is offering 28 game slots this season to the Capital Division (18 Sundays and 10 Wednesdays, all likely at New Scotland):
