I just want to take a minute and thank Rob Currier from the Albany Nationals for his hard work in maintaining and improving the 28+ Division Website. All the 28+ over teams owe Rob a debt of gratitude. I've been thinking about doing something like this for a few years and everyone said that it wouldn't work. Now that I'm commissioner I had the chance to organize and start the website, but without Rob it wouldn't be possible.
For those of you who don't know..the 28+ website will have all the league leaders, etc. on one website, instead of searching thru each individual website. Again, thanks to Rob and all the managers who voted on this and getting your stats in on time each week.
While I appreciate the thank-yous, this website is only possible because every team has made the commitment to compile the statistics and summaries and get them to me in a timely fashion. While I am proud to say that as of right now (Monday, May 15th at 3:00 p.m.) everything is up-to-date, I too say "thanks" to the managers of all of the teams who get me their stats and get them to me on time. While I do input the stats and keep the records, that is but one small part of what needs to be done. All the managers deserve as much, if not more, thanks than I do. It's not my website, it's not Fitz's website, It's OUR website - everyone's. And it only works when everyone is involved. And so far, everyone is. The real thanks belongs to:
Jim Bonaparte (Mets) Joe Fitzgerald (Nationals) Jim McQuade (Cubs) Derek Engeln (Cardinals) Bob Hamilton (Brewers) Scott Clement (A's) Mario Arduini (Orioles) Mickey Novak (Yankees) Chris Evans (Pirates) Dan Maychack (Tigers)
Bryce Cutler (Cubs) for scheduling information.
Without these guys, my job is impossible.
Thanks for the thanks! Keep on coming over and checking us out (818 hits to date). League Leaders will be posted weekly starting the Wednesday after Memorial Day.
MANAGERS - Don't let Rob fool you. It takes a lot of work. Not only have I gotten him to design the website, I have him as a great teammate. He deserves the credit. You guys keep giving him the stats and he'll make our website better and better.
