Starting for the Twins was Steve Rychik, with Gary Webber coming in for relief. Jeff Friedman pitched a complete game for the Whiz. With 1 out, Greg Briscoe reached base on an error, followed by a walk to Rodney Smith. A pass ball moved the runners to 2nd & 3rd. Frank Owens had a sacrifice hit that scored the 1st run for the Twins. Jeff Whitehead had an RBI single up the middle that scored the Twins 2nd run.
