Whiz mercy Cubs.

Last night at the A-Diamond, the Whiz Kids played their best game of the year, and the Cubs threw in their worst effort of the year.
The result was an embarrassing 5 inning mercy rule loss for the Cubs and an exhilarating win for the Whiz. The Cubs / Whiz season series now stands at
1 game apiece.

I will leave the detail of the game up to Gene to report, as I have already wiped the memory of this debacle from my mind.
The one thing that sticks out for me is the masterful performance from Bob Bolt on the mound. He was big game Bob once again.

The entire Cubs team tips their caps to the Whiz, and promise that we will give a better effort next time.
