I was informed this afternoon there's going to be a work day (morning) this Saturday starting at 8:30am at the Knick. The infield is going to be regraded and red clay is being laid on the infield surface.

This should greatly improve the drainage of the infield. We (CDMSBL) lost one game this week because - even though the weather was nice - standing water prevented the infield from drying.

This is a dual effort by the Lansingburg Royals and CDMSBL. We are looking for volunteers to help rake the new infield surface.


I know this is short notice and it's Memorial Day weekend, but if you have some free time Saturday morning, work will start around 8:30am. With a good crew, it should take about 90 minutes. Each person should bring his own rake.
