A small but merry band of Pirates will be at Elm Avenue Park in Bethlehem this Sunday at 10:00 working on the field.
Right now, it is basically submerged and were looking to give Mother Nature a helping hand by moving some of that standing water out of there. At which point the sun can get to it and do its work.
There are three games scheduled on that field next week. Frankly, if we don't do anything, I'm not sure that field recovers to host those games.
Bring a bucket, a pail, a cup, a rake, a shovel, whatever. Thanks in advance,
On Sunday, seven Pirates swabbed the decks. The field should be fine this week, thanks to some of the usual scalliwags: Agneta, Kane, Smaka, Tryon, Yakatan and Zamory. Yo ho ho and a bottle of Advil, down the hatch.
