This game was close through the first 5 innings, with the Silvers holding a slim 8-5 edge. The Silvers strung together several hits in the sixth to move the score to 15 - 5. The Blue Jays hit the ball hard through the first 5 innings off of good pitching (Ansel and Latorre). Phil Gadomski came in in the sixth with a runner on first and a 3-0 count on the Blue Jays leadoff man, and proceeded to strike out that batter on three pitches and then induced a ground ball double play. It is nice to have the depth in the pitching staff to throw three quality arms out there like that. The 7th was uneventful and the Silvers moved their record to 6 - 3. It was great to see Jim Ansel back on the mound so soon after a serious "Soccer" injury. We however, missed Ralph and Sue Caputo, as they were away in Las Vegas. Hopefully they will be there the next time the Marlins and Blue Jays hook up.
