Welcome sports fans to CDSMBL Bulletin Board, this is BL 44 reporting again. What another great day for baseball at the satellite field in Voorheesville where the Blue Thunder took on the Veterans for the final time this regular season. Led by Rich Garbarino who pitched a complete game, the Blue Thunder walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Veterans who were keeping the game close with the pitching of Joe Sarrubi and the hitting of Tony Scanu who went 3 for 3, even with a pulled muscle in his leg (at least that's what he said) - HA! As always, hats off to the Veterans a classy team who like us all never give up. The game was actually scoreless after five innings - what a pitchers duel - classic. Next game up for the Blue Thunder is on 8/6 a double header versus the Dodgers and for the Veterans, 8/6 versus the Hornets. The Blue Thunder improve to 4-6 as the Veterans fall to 3-8.
