fordians 5 a's 4

in a close fairly played game by both teams, the fordians pick up the go-head run
in the top 7th for 5-4 win. which was not easy, both teams stayed tie 2-2. fordians
scored 2 in the top 5th to go ahead 4-2, but the a's made a two-out rally in the bottom six to tie the game 4-4. fordians scored their go-head run on a pass ball.
but bottom 7th, after getting the first two batters out, a walk, 2 hits later baseload.
fordians strikes batter out, ball game done in a series we're both teams in the first 2 games came with bats, then to play a close final game...

Nice Team Effort. Every player that put on the Fordian uniform performed at the highest level, Proud of All. Hats off to the A's. They played hard and they played with class for the most part. See you all next week.

Last nights game was one of the best games I have ever been involved in.
Hats off to the A's for making this series a great one with their great playing, attitude and sportsmanship.

I am proud to play for the Waterford Fordians as we grew stronger as the season progressed. I hope we can keep up the momentum for the next series.
Good job boys, can't wait to play next week.

D-Mac, great job of coaching in J.D.'s absence, I know it's a tough job, but you have come through for us especially when making difficult decisions.

Good Job, Fordians. And Good Luck next week.

If I could have made the last game it would have been different - more passed balls for you to score on!

Thanks to all the A's - I appreciate all your efforts.

You go Fordians!
I am so damn happy for you guys. I knew you were going to be tough when we played you in late July. We won, 4-1, but you could see the progress you were making and the confidence with which you played. Jack Perry was like a coach on the field, and his intensity helped bring it together down the stretch, I'm sure.

First the Highlanders, now the A's. And both those teams are very good.
Good luck in the finals. Some say the "B'' winner will only make it the 7th best team in the division. Hell, after an 0-13 start, that would be remarkable. Whoever you play in the finals, go get 'em! I'll be there - watching. You made it farther than we did!
