labor day tourney

thanks to all of you who worked your tails off to be sure the labor day tourney was played.
the weekend was a microcosm of the regular season, except that all the rescheduling had to be done in about the time it takes one of Mark Dabney's rockets to leave the park.

jim dalton had his cell phone ringing while calling balls and strikes, and he didn't miss a beat. but not lost in all of the chaos was the fun we had on the diamond. and who said diamonds are a just girl's best friend!

i, for one, hope this tournament continues next year.

I must have missed something. I got a call that the tournament was cancelled. Signed, Massachusette charter member of the New England Mutts>

don't know what happened elsewhere, but the 47s played at the satellite field in voorheesville.
there also were games played at Cook Park, too, which the 47s didn't use.

Jonny,
It is a long ugly story about the Mutts.
I will relate it to you at the cooler after Saturday's game at the A-Diamond.
