The WhizKids had 8 of their 12 hits in the first 2 innings, and were aided when the usually sure-handed Hornets misplayed a few balls. The Hornets bunched 3 of their hits in the 6th to score their 2 runs, highlighted by Mr. Wolfer's double. Don Dennis, Chris Massaroni, Dave Palmer, and Dennis Pierce each had 2 hits for the WhizKids, with Dennis scoring 2 runs.
