I want to thank my Golden teammates for stepping up and getting it done again. So many players nobody knew a few years ago. You guys continue to amaze me. Jim Ansel continues to be the big game pitcher, giving up just 4 hits in some 13 innings pitched. Named the play off MVP, and to think we almost lost him to heart failure a year ago. The Yankees fought and gave us all we could handle, taking the series to a third game. They are a group of warriors, and I truly respect the way they play the game. Congrats on a great inaurgural season fellas.
On behalf of all the WhizKids, I would like to congratulate the Marlins on their great season. You play the game the way it should be played, and do it with class. See you in the spring. Jim Porter
Anybody who witnessed the 48+ finals knows why we played baseball until nightfall forty years ago and why 50+ year old men continue play through stiffness, injury, and busy lives. Thanks to the league and to the Yankees in particular for the excellent baseball and the pronounced good will the pervaded the playoffs.
As my mane man states, the Marlins are a great bunch. We try to respect the game and the good people of the league. Baseball, above all, should be fun. Jim, your comment is appreciated. Thanks for noticing.
On behalf of all the players from Blue Thunder, we would like to congratulate the Golden Marlins on their great season. Even though only played you guys twice during the year, the games are always what they are supposed to be - fun and exciting. You do play the game the way it should be played, and that is, with a great deal of sportsmanship and integrity and you do it with class. See you in the spring. Bob Lounsbury and the team of Blue Thunder.
