The newly renovated Babe Ruth field is perfect already this morning. Problem is that it is padlocked and the security patrols are already on alert. If we have permission to use that field, someone needs to get the key. If we don't have permission for that field, the older field is open and playable. It will need some work, but is playable. I brought over a push broom and took the small puddles off the field at second, first and home. The rest of the field is dry and firm. The sun is shining and the wind is blowing, so the playing field will be ready for noon. The work needed will be to iron rake those areas that had puddles before we can get on the field. There are sizeable puddles in foul territory that could use some work. They are out of the way, but it would be better if we could get rid of them. Anyone that can get to the field at 11:00 AM or so will find seven iron rakes and one push broom leaning against the gate to the field on the first base side. All they need is the hands to use them. If we have anyone with pull in the Clifton Park area that can get approval for us to use the new field, please feel free!!! Otherwise we are going to need some hands to get the field ready for noon.
