Good news.....

George got out of surgery earlier this afternoon but is still sedated (not from anything I gave him) and resting "comfortably" in intensive care. From what I understand, valve replacement was ruled out and repairs were able to be made to the damaged valve. Hopefully he'll be up and turning handsprings in no time. Thanks to everyone for their wellwishes. I know Raff will appreciate it very much.

I'll keep you posted,
Crafty

Way to go Raff!!! You handled this just like you handle tough game situations. A friend of mine was talking about Joe Namith yesterday. He said that, when things got tough and the team was getting jittery and starting to make mistakes, Joe wouldn't complain about the situation or point fingers at anyone. He would just look into the eyes of he teammates in the huddle and say - "the heat is on boys, the heat is on". They would almost always rise to the occasion. The heat was on yesterday, Raff and you met the challenge. We were all thinking about you all throughout the day - I GUARANTEE YOU THAT!!!! See you soon.

Thanks, Randy.

George,

I wish you the speediest recovery and knowing the competitor that you are I'm certain this is just a bump in road of life and no challenge for the type of person you are. Baseball aside, we want to see you healthy.

Sounds like the prayers of many did some good!!!
Great to hear that you soon will be haunting dance clubs all over the capital district.
Oops!! Maybe some of the guys on here haven't heard about your prowess on the dance floor. Well, Randy can fill them in on some of the stories about the Crazy Clam in Maine.
Take it easy on those nurses.
