i called bob lawyer's family on thursday (12/28) and left a message on their machine, saying that we all were concerned and hoped for the best.
bob's son called me back thursday night and left a message on my machine saying the news is good.
bob's son said that bob had his surgery on wednesday (12/27) at st. peter's and on thursday he was "sitting up and telling jokes" in the icu. (which fits.) everyone is hopeful for a full recovery, he said.
i'd imagine that everyone's prayers and good wishes may have played a part - and will continue to.
