Great news for Bob and George Raftery as well. I wish them and all who are struggling with health issues a quick recovery and the continued ability to enjoy life to it's fullest. To put this all in perspective a friend of mine, Frank O'Brien, 40 years old with a beautiful wife and three wonderful young children, died just one week before Christmas from a brain tumor which he valiantly fought against for more than a year. He was a husband, father, hockey player, bicyclist, businessman but most importantly a great human being. He was the kind of man you all would be proud to know. I often wished he swung a bat instead of a hockey stick but either way, he fit right in. He leaves a very large hole in this world.
Mark, Sorry to hear about your loss. It sounds like you lost a very good friend. The holidays are a tough time to lose loved ones. It sounds like your life was made better by the the time you had to share with your friend. It makes me appreciate all the more the great friends I have made in the 17 years that I have been playing in the CDMSBL. Here's hoping that we all enjoy a happy and healthy 2007!
