Banquet
(Preview)
Anyone who missed the CDMSBL awards banquet last night missed out on a great time. My thanks go to Kevin Jackson and the people who made this possible. Some nice memories were made last night with the honoring of the HOF inductees. All in all it was one impressive night.

Player Looking for a Team 46+

I'm writing to inquire about becoming involved as a player in the CDMSBL, 46+ division. I'm 50 years old (I'll be 51 in August) and played some hardball as a young man (high school, but not college, and then in a men's league around Philadelphia back when I was in graduate school). In my playing days I was...

In case you missed it, that was knuckleballer Scott Card featured on the cover of last week's METROLAND magazine (it's free, so even some of you guys on the Highlanders can afford it). The article featured Scott's successful band, Ten Year Vamp. Just one of those talented guys, I guess.
And, yes, ex...

March 1st awards

What a great idea to have a banquet like this. I'm sure it was, and is, a lot of work to put this together.
I understand Jim Ansel, Tom Maney, Ted Martin and Jim McQuade are to be inducted into the CDMSBL Hall of Fame. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that our "hall" existed. It might be nic...

Orlando and baseball at Disney
(Preview)
Well once again Albany was represented in the Disney Classic at Orlando. We went 0-3, but we fielded a much better team than our record would show. There were 7 guys from Albany. (If you count Ted Martin as an Albany guy) and we had 5 guys from the player pool that I picked up. I believe that we lost, at least...
