Highlanders 4 - Bluejays 2

On an evening when it appeared while leaving Albany that the game might not be played, the Voorheesville Satellite Field was ready for baseball. In a game that moved quickly each team displayed excellent fielding and timely hitting the few times that there were potential RBI's to be had. The pitcher...

Giants 5, Pirates 0
(Preview)
Giants rebound from a stinging loss to the tough Cubs behind the 5-hit pitching of Scotty Card.
Giants took a 3-0 lead in the second inning behind RBI singles by Dick Stark and Pat Alston, and Card and the Giants "D'' made it stand against the potent Bucs' lineup.

(Preview)
I'm interested in playing in the 35+ Labor Day tournament. I pitch for the 38+ Shaskys. Just a little background...I pitched in college, in the Twilight League and the Hudson Valley Rookie League (in my day, of course!). I can still handle the bat and I run well.
This is my first year in this league and...

A special thanks to my former A's team mates Ed Class and Dave Scillinger for coming to help at the last minute and thanks to Eddy O for being understanding. Led By...

Last night in Kingston the Hummingbirds and Reds squared off for what would turn out to be a terrific game. It was Latore vs Burns. Cubs 9, Giants 5
(Preview)
Congrats to the Cubs for ending the Giants 9-game win streak, 9-5, Monday night at Bob Moore.
They simply played fundamental baseball and we didn't, despite exercising my option to not let the Cubs use an under-age player.
For anyone who took pot shots at me, you could have said something at the gam...

Who needs young players?!!!!

Two "veterans" keyed a Marlins 5-1 victory Monday night over the Reds at RCS high school. Jim Latorre (nobody checking his ID at the door) was dominant in allowing just one hit and one run. He had all four pitches working with the fastball being overpowering at times. The Reds plated one run...
