It appeared that the Americans might make it a mercy game. The Twins had 9 rostered and one borrowed player and many were playi...

ending a pleasure for one team, not so much for the other
(Preview)
If it's lively endings you like, this one was a loud bada-bing. Of course, you would have liked the final play more if on Monday night at the A Diamond if you were a player on the over-62 Yankees, or one of its fans, but both the Yanks and the Americans, clearly got a jolt out of the ending. Jolts are one of the...

It was sunny at New Scotland making it very tough for defenders on the right side to see the ball until the 6th inning. Peppers started the scoring in the top of the first as Bob Bolt (walk) scored on a single by Tony Mogavero off Spiders starter Darrell Duncan. The Arachnids plated 2 in the bottom of the in...

With temperatures falling into the mid-40s by the fourth inning, and chill winds throughout the contest, the over-62 Americans somehow kept their sticks warm enough to knock in 11 runs, for an 11-1, opening-game victory over last seasons' champions, the Arachnids, on Wednesday evening at the B Di...

Many of you may have seen the news last weekend of a major building fire in Albany. That was my building. Schedules are up; thanks to the makers; shame on a pitchman
(Preview)
A tip of the cap to the 2024 schedule-makers. I checked all five age divisions and the schedules are up for each. So, read on and dream, guys. Season starts in a little more than a week. For me, it will be my twenty-fifth. In the past, the schedule-makers included Tim Brown, Harold Jenkins and, if memory s...
