Jim Konstantakis hurled a two hit shutout to lead the Hornets to a 5-0 win over the Vets. Jim struck out threee and only allowed one base on ball. Jim threw a one hit shutout just three weeks ago. The Hornets are now 7-4, the Vets fall to 1-7.

The Golden Marlins rode the right arm of Pete Westfall to a 6-2 win over the Hornets. Pete scattered 7 hits and struck out four on ther afternoon. The Hornets led 2-0 through five but the Marlins scored four in the sixth and two in the seventh to run their record to 7-1, the Hornets drop to 6-4.

Have the playoff schedules for the 37s and 46s been set up yet? With players and umpires trying to plan Aug. vacations, etc., it would be nice to get those schedules on the Web site so guys will know how to coordinate their family/baseball lives. Thanx. JimK
