Giants 3, Mets 2
(Preview)
Game time of 6 p.m. was pushed back to 7:45 to get the field ready. Jim Bonaparte and several of his teammates as well as some Giants players worked diligently to make what normally would have been a game ppd by rain playable for the first game of the best-of-3 quarterfinals at Bob Moore last night. Joe Ga...

Silver Marlins 3 - A's 2
(Preview)
Pitching and defense was the name of the game in this one!!!
This one matched two of the top three candidates for pitcher of the year: Bucky Kruzinski for the A's vs. Phil Gadomski for the Silvers. Both pitchers were as good as advertised as they limited the damage from two very good hitting line ups. Ma...

Lost Scorebook
(Preview)
Yesterday at New Scotland, the 37 Pirates experienced a horrific drubbing by the Giants. As we cried in our beer, we came up with a plan for a fantastic bonfire to burn our 2008 scorebook. Being huge health nuts, and giving up smoking years ago in order to follow our dreams of being the oldest guys to make...

Reds Vs Orioles (Playoff Game)
(Preview)
The Orioles and Reds played each other for the second time in less then 24 hours this time in Valatie. The Orioles came out on top 7-1 and got a complete game from Bob Bolt. The Reds Mike Lacouturi also pitched a complete game (I believe he also threw some innings against the Braves just prior to our game)....

Game 1 was a very tough battle with the White Sox. Both teams pounded out runs early, The Sox had a 5-2 lead after 2. The Shaskys plated 2 in the 3rd and...

Silver Marlins 11 Highlanders 2
(Preview)
The baseball gods were smiling on us at New Scotland last night, as the worst of the rain missed the ball park. There was a light shower as the game started, but it stopped in the second inning and the game went on. The Highlanders were saving their best pitchers for the playoff run and started "the C...

Red's Vs Orioles
(Preview)
Friday night the Orioles and Reds worked hard on the West Albany BR Field to get this game in after a brief shower. The O's came out on top 9-0 ending a hectic week of 4 games in 5 days that started with a rare week day doubleheader Monday night against a tough Met's team only to be followed by a game Wednesday...
