I hope this was brought up in the meeting Courtesy Runner rule should be revised. They should not be allowed to steal...period. If the player needs a courtesy runner he probably wouldn't be stealing anyway. Just a thought.

i'm wondering if someone who took notes at the league meeting - and the managers' meetings that followed - will be good enough to write them up and tell everybody what happened? i was there, didn't take notes, but can tell guys that we elected a new board - without, for the first time in what? 13 years...

And others mentioned it at the meeting Wednesday night. I don't know, and have no inclination to remember, who all of you are who use nicknames. ...

The time has come to stop talking and start acting. The meeting is tomorrow night and we need to make the time for this league. Let's take an active interest in all of the workings not just reap the benefits of showing up to play. Here's to hoping that we all can attend.

George got out of surgery earlier this afternoon but is still sedated (not from anything I gave him) and resting "comfortably" in intensive care. Former Marlin and Hall of Famer George Rafferty will be having heart surgery this Tues. 11/28 to repair a leaky valve. Prognosis for his sugery is good, but guarded.
