Giants 15, A's 7
(Preview)
Third game in 3 days, but the guys still had some life left.
The A's, too, were without several of their better players, and I always miss playing against Ed Class. Hope you're not out injured or for some other serious matter.
Night off tonight, then the vastly improved Shaskys Friday night at the Voo...

Met's Vs Pirates 08.07.07
(Preview)
A beautiful hazy summer day for baseball last night @ Indian Meadows and the Met's and Pirates locked up in a gem of a pitchers duel between Mike Kane and our Lex Herrlett and unfortunately we took the short end of the stick 1-0. Lex only gave up 2 hits and Mike gave up only 3 him self. Alot of great defense wa...

Giants 13, Orioles 1
(Preview)
No, that's not a typo. But there's no "WOW'' to this result. The O's had just 9 players and were missing several of their big hitters. Yes, we did hit the ball, but it was not one of the Orioles' better efforts in the field, either.
Now, on to game 3 of this week tonight with game 4 looming Friday.

WhizKids take 2 from the Veterans
(Preview)
The satellite field in Voorheesville was the setting for an exciting Sunday morning baseball game. For 6 innings it was a classic pitchers' duel between Dennis Pierce of the WhizKids, and Bill Kervan of the Veterans, with the WhizKids holding a 3-1 lead. It became a slugfest in the 7th, with the Veter...

Hummin' Birds 3, Giants 2
(Preview)
John LaTorre tossed a gem in edging the Giants Monday night at Ichabod Crane.
Great "D'' on both sides in a well-played game that ended after 6 innings because of darkness.

Cubs 9 Giants 5
(Preview)
After playing well over our last few games, the Cubs broke back into the "Win" column with a strong team effort against the Giants. The heart of our batting order produced three-run rallies in the first, third and sixth innings. Fransisco Rosello and Mike Labarge reached base three times...

Thank-you!
(Preview)
Mike;
I had my dislocated shoulder popped back, and i'm feeling fine.
Thanks for checking on me buddy.
I really need to thank Eddie Schreiber, and Sue Caputo.
Eddie made an immediate prognosis, and set me up at Memorial hospital.
They were waiting for me at the door with Eddie's instructions....

Highlanders Vs Met's 08.05.07
(Preview)
A beautiful morning for baseball @ the Knick on Sunday, and the Met's came out on top by the score of 11-1. A good thing this game was played @ the knick instead of the smaller fields, because their would have been about 5 to 6 home runs between the two teams. John Kalinski led the HIghlanders with a pair of l...

Silver Marlins 10 - Peppers 4
(Preview)
The Marlins scored 6 in the bottom of the first inning. With Jim Ansel making a "tune up for the playoffs" start, you would think that the game was over, right?! Not! The Peppers scrapped for four runs in the next two innings and the noose got a little tight. John Reel always seems to make the ri...

Hum'N'Birds 11 - White Sox 4
(Preview)
With weather threatening all night, and tolerance and persistence of umps to help get the game in, the Birds prevailed over the Chisox 11-4, in a game closer than the score indicates, at always great to play Gruner Stadium.
Earl Mitchell was masterful with a great duece and sneaky fastball in scatte...
