The Highlanders edged the A's 7-4 on Monday, July 30, at the Knick. The game moved along quickly and each team had its share of timely hitting and excellent defensive plays. Ed Class (A's) and John Kalinski (Highlanders) each pitched well.

Behind the strong complete game pitching of Erik Samarija, the Peppers beat the White Sox 10 to 2 at New Scotland on Wednesday 7/25. Timely hitting by the Peppers and a few untimely errors by the White Sox resulted in the Peppers breaking the game open in the later innings.
